“ Visited here with friends and was really impressed. Felt welcome as soon as we arrived and the draught HPA went down a treat. The food was fantastic, prepared from scratch and well priced. The chefs are clearly very good at what they do. Everyone was delighted with their meals and the Eton Mess was to die for. There was a lovely friendly atmosphere and all the staff were so happy and helpful. Really recommend a visit it’s clearly very popular so would recommend booking ”

“ I visited this evening, around 5pm, and was greeted by a gentleman behind the bar. I was offered a seat in either the bar or the restaurant, I chose the restaurant. The fire was on, which was lovely and there were plenty of places to sit. The restaurant and bar was clean and tidy, and the place had a good ambience/feel to it. I was served quickly and professionally. The food was good, I enjoyed the meal, I had the chicken and ham pie option with green vegetables (tasty). And because it was such a long day at work I enjoyed a cappuccino The price was very fair and I would definitely recommend visiting if you're in the area on business or even passing through. “ We visited for the first time this afternoon as a party of 7 and from start to finish we had a really lovely experience here, the staff are so lovely and attentive and the little doggy stole the show for us he was an absolute beauty, the food was simply wonderful and plentiful and came out lovely and hot. The food was delicious and the lovely ladies behind the bar and serving really looked after us. It's great to have a good local pub again! ”
